Club/Area Level Referee Course

JudoScotland presents the Club/Area Level Referee Course, a comprehensive and insightful program designed to enrich your understanding of judo rules and provide you with the tools to become a proficient referee. Whether you’re a player, coach, or simply interested in the intricacies of judo officiating, this course is tailor-made for you.

This course is open to participants aged 12 and above, holding a minimum green belt level. Our primary goal is to empower clubs and individuals to actively engage in refereeing, ultimately enhancing the overall quality of Judo events.

By enrolling in this course, you’ll not only gain valuable insights from experienced referees but also have the chance to participate in practical sessions. The knowledge and skills you acquire during the course will set you on a path towards becoming a certified referee, qualified to officiate at a variety of Judo events.

The cost for this course is £15 which is the fee for your BJA exam, JudoScotland will reimburse you once you complete the course and upon passing your exam you will be eligible to referee at many events. When you start on this journey it is important to keep a diary of all the events that you volunteer at as if you attend 6 JudoScotland events per year you will be eligible for a FREE JudoScotland licence.
