Talent Development Performance Pathway
The JudoScotland Performance Pathway aims to develop players, whilst giving valuable life
experiences. JudoScotland operate two Talent Development Squads – The Talent Development Squad (TD) & The Talent Development Pathway Squad (TDP)
Entry Process
The intake for the TDP programme takes place annually through an application process. Full details can be found here.
Programme Expectation
Able to participate in international competitions and training camps.
Committed to attending a minimum of 4 out of 5 Talent Development squad weekends.
Committed to attending a minimum of 2 TD area training sessions per calendar month.
Understanding and agreement to abide by the code of conduct
Support Provision
Weekly TD sessions.
Introduction to some additional sports performance aspects such as Sports Psychology, Anti-Doping, Physical Preparation, Performance Nutrition and Performance Lifestyle
5 x per Year – JS National TDP Weekends.
Opportunity for domestic and international training and competition exposure.
Subsidised JudoScotland performance-wear (tracksuit and t-shirt).
THE JUDOSCOTLAND PLAYER DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK
The JudoScotland Player Development Framework is a guide to turning fun physical activity into sport for life. Developed as part of the wider JudoScotland Blueprint, the framework is designed to support coaches and individuals to achieve their potential within Judo and more widely in sports in general.
