Kime no Kata

We have the pleasure of introducing ten time British Kime no Kata Champions Bob and Ricky Cleevely. They are amongst the most knowledgeable in the country for Kime no Kata and also have a wealth of knowledge and experience within Randori no Kata and Ju no Kata. Both Bob and Ricky compete internationally with events such as the British Open, IJF world Cups, European and World championships, with this wealth of experience the course on the 15th of September has not to be missed.

Kime no Kata is a series of self defence katas that were developed around 1888 by Jigoro Kano consisting of eight techniques from a kneeling posture and twelve techniques from a standing posture. They are designed to teach the fundamentals of attack and defence in actual combat and Bob and Ricky will bring these principles to life for you at Ratho.
