The sportscotland Institute of Sport Performance Potential Programme aims to support judoka to progress to winning international junior or senior tour medals.
Judoka will be provided with training & competition experiences and environments necessary for continued performance development.
Entry Process
To be considered for SIS performance potential support, judoka will ordinarily be junior or U23 judoka (23+ judoka with significant international medal winning history may also be considered), who are consistently engaging with the performance programme sessions delivered at the JudoScotland NTC.
Judoka will be assessed based on their performance history and their physical, technical & behavioural competence.
Offers of Performance Potential support will be made on an annual basis in January.
Programme Expectation
Judoka will be meeting a minimum attendance commitment at JudoScotland NTC sessions.
Judoka will be adhering to programme & support service processes.
Judoka will be able to evidence improvements in results, physical, technical & behavioural competence.
Judoka will make themselves available to compete in the Scottish National Championships, Scottish Open & for Scotland in the National Team Championships wherever possible.
